No place like home...

  We have officially been back in the States now for two whole weeks.  It's still kind of of surreal.  At times it feels like I never left and others it feels like I'm still in Korea.  The jet lag has been the worst I've ever experienced.  I'm still not sure what day it is sometimes and waking up at 3am has seriously gotten old. 

  Stopping in South Carolina and North Carolina to see Jason's family was a great idea.  They did get the brunt of the jet-lag but it was great seeing family and not really doing anything.  We watched a lot of Wimbledon, played some tennis of our own and hiked Chimney Rock.  Not very busy compared to  most of our vacations this past year.  Considering how much fatigue we were suffering due to jet-lag we did a lot.

  Finally arriving in Austin was very emotional.  A few friends greeted us at the airport with signs and balloons.  At the house, a few more stopped in to get reacquainted.  The most emotional reunion was between David and his dog, Dagwood.  At first, Dagwood barked and barked, but the more we talked to him the more he recognized us and went nuts.  I'll never separate a boy and his dog again.  Dagwood's tail has not stopped wagging since we arrived home and Daisy our cat has been more snuggly than I remembered her to be.  Both pets settled into our routine quite well.

  I can honestly say that we have all settled in quite nicely.  Jason went back to work this week.  The kids are busy with friends and summer fun activities (mostly movies, some swimming and video games because of the heat).  I am reorganizing the house getting ready for our stuff to arrive and stitching when I can.  International moves are such fun!

  We are all adjusting to the heat.  Considering we were wearing hoodies in the morning 4 weeks ago in Korea.  You have to expect a little transition time when it's in the 100'sF in Austin every day.  I think I'm the only one in town enjoying the heat though.   The other day while looking at cars the salesperson asked if "it was hot enough" for me and I said it was "just right".  He totally didn't know how to respond!

  For anyone curious about more pictures, more stories or just HAVE to see us to believe we are back, come by anytime.  Chances are we're home!  The address and phone numbers haven't changed.... and the coffee machine is up and running!
